The Coronavirus outbreak hit Romania's travel and tourist industry hard last year. Romanian authorities have imposed entry bans and other restrictions to control the COVID-19 epidemic.
According to WHO statistics, Romania has had 1,103,198 cases of COVID-19 infection, with 34,650 deaths. These statistics forced Romania's government to continue its anti-COVID efforts.
Italy will require all employees to have a COVID-19 green pass - evidence of immunization, negative test, or COVID-19 recovery. The measures are first for Europe, the restrictions are among the toughest globally. Those without a pass may be suspended from work and lose pay after five days.
The policy, which takes effect on October 15, seeks to increase immunization rates in a virus-ravaged country.
